Now that's just silly:
"Items on the list that they won't accept are: refrigerators, tires, batteries, oils and paint."
Who would ever want to get rid of Refridgerators,
Paint or Tires?
Refrigerators are wonderful yard art - once you take the door off so they are safe, they can also serve as a planter or shelves for extra storge.
And Paint - I though everybody just mixed the last quart of this with the last drizzle of that and started on the next wall - "Petty Blue" would have never been invented had there not been 2 cans of "not enough paint" around (hey, it is race weekend - Nascar fans got it

)
Tires - well shoot, everybody knows you can paint them red white and blue and just toss 'em on the roof.
Kalhoun in Copeville
<doing my best to add a touch of humor everywhere I can>
{and yes, for those of you not in on the punch line, there is a house in Copeville that has had about a dozen tires on the roof for more than 10 years now, and about 6 years ago they got painted red white and blue}
Disclaimer: Author is not liable for any physical injury or damages incurred while throwing tires on roofs or mixing paint ... if tires end up on your roof, it wasn't me!!!

Serious Note: It's true, you can even mix flat paint with gloss, but just don't mix paint that says "cleanup with water" with paint that says "cleanup with 'thinner' or 'mineral spirits'" Do just a little to save the environment (and $) by using 2 cotes of mixed paint instead of primer for your next paint project...
