Anyone have any insight into this converson to a Special Utility District? I usually just trash their fliers, but read the last one on the upcoming special election to try and shove this through. It says in their literature that their new tax exempt status would cut costs for them...yet raise our costs, of course, from what I can read between the lines.
And I like this little gem: "It is anticipated the proposed district will adopt a water utility ordinace with the rates, fees and rules and regulations unchanged, for the most part, from the existing rules and regulations." Riiiight.
